Used for XT400E.
For some reason, I was a bit upset because I had about two each of BPlug and CPlug's Plug wrench, but I did not have only the Socket of Size that corresponds to DPlug.

Let's replace it regularly….
Used for Yamaha's GTS1000.
Since this is a used vehicle purchased through a private sale, maintenance history is naturally unknown. If you buy a used car, you will probably want to replace the oil and grease and spark plugs anyway.
The vehicle we purchased this time did not have any misfires or poor starting performance, but we decided to replace it just in case, since this type of vehicle with poor maintenance is often put off.
GTS1000 is the so-called GenesisEngine with Yamaha's house specialty 5Valve, and since the Cylinder is very forward leaning, I had assumed that it would be easy to replace it….
Unfortunately, it is not that easy. From the side cowl duct, the 2nd and 3rd Cylinder Plugs cannot reach the Limit, and even from the front, it is a bit difficult because the Radiator is in the way.
I ended up having to remove the Side cowl.
To remove the side cowl, the upper panel on the tank must also be removed. The cowl is not attached with many claws like modern sports type motorbikes, so there is little risk of breaking the cowl, but it is an old plastic, so we should be very careful.
Don't forget the Bolt of the Side cowl is also located behind the front of the UpperPanel, especially after the UpperPanel is removed.
I finally accessed the old Plug, and when I air-blasted it, Brown powder flew around. My bad premonition was proven true. The Spark plug I removed was RustRust as you can see in the picture.
I was impressed by the fact that the car runs normally even in this condition, but I also realized the need for regular plug replacement.
This much rust is a GPZ #1 Cylinder request lol.
WaterproofPlug cap, but it may be easier to penetrate because the Cylinder is tilted forward….

Motorcycle spark plug is a workhorse. Regular replacement is recommended.
Plug replacement for YAMAHA TRX850.
I bought the car last year and there was no trouble of any kind, but since it is a used car, I am not sure when the previous owner replaced the plugs.
I could feel the improvement in engine startup and stability of idling immediately after the replacement. I have not driven the car yet because of the rainy season, but even though I only replaced the spark plug, the engine condition has changed drastically from usual.
The Owner's Manual and Service Manual do not state when and at which Timing the Plug should be replaced.
The actual situation is that there are no specific instructions on usage or mileage, although there is a description of the inspection.
Then I felt like I should look into it, so I put the following together.
I hope this will be helpful to all of you.
When is the proper time (Timing) to replace a plug on a motorcycle?
The engine of a motorcycle is driven by the combustion (explosion) of a mixture of gasoline and air. The spark plug ignites this mixture. Therefore, it can be said that the spark plug is a very important part. However, another feature of plugs is that it is surprisingly difficult to know when to replace them.
To this end, the following three specific points will be discussed.
1.Spark plug replacement time (Timing)
2.Difference in replacement time between cars and motorcycles
3.When to replace Iridium plugs
When is the Manufacturer's recommended Plug replacement time?
Manufacturer's recommendation for plug replacement is Replace after 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers. The manufacturer here is NGK, the manufacturer of the Plug I purchased. The manufacturer here is NGK, the manufacturer of the Plug I purchased, and the Large hand manufacturer of the Spark plug. NGK's plugs are used by many OEMs. Incidentally, not only NGK, but also DENSO (also famous for its Plug) uses NGK's Plug in case of Motorcycle. Replacement at 3 to 5,000 km. recommendation. Therefore, in terms of Manufacturer's recommendation, Replace after 3,000 to 5,000 kilometers." is appropriate.
Motorcycle and car plugs need to be replaced at different times.
In the case of cars (4-wheelers), many people say that they only change plugs at the time of vehicle inspection. For some people, if the car is timed for inspection every two years, it is not uncommon for the Case to have been driven more than 20,000km. However, in the case of cars, it is no problem to replace the Plug at 20,000km. This is because the replacement time for cars and motor cycles is different by a large amount.
According to NGK, the typical replacement time for plugs is as follows
Four-wheeled vehicle 15,000 to 20,000 km
Light vehicles 7,000-10,000km
Motorcycles 3,000 to 5,000 km
Why is this so different between cars and Motorcycles?
The electrode of a spark plug wears out as it is used, and the spark gap (the gap at the end of the plug) widens. In other words, a motorcycle ignites (wears out) more than a car even if they run the same 1,000 km. In other words, the motorcycle is running at a higher RPM than the car. Certainly, the general theory is that the normal rpm is Regular car>Mini car>Motorcycle Motorcycles send out more sparks than cars, which means they need to be replaced sooner.
Motorcycle can go 10,000 km without replacing plugs?
Spark plugManufacturer-recommended replacement guideline is 3 to 5,000 km, but there are probably many people who do not replace plugs for more than 10,000 km on their motorcycles. And there may be many cases in which it is not a problem.:Pair (for Left and Right) The "I" in "I" is a word that is used to describe the "I" in "I".
For example, the same Motorcycle
Long touring at high speed (Top gear, 5-6 speed Main)
People who drive on slopes or stop and go frequently
Then, the replacement time is completely different even if the same distance is traveled.
It is easy to imagine that the replacement time will change with different types of motorcycles even if they are used in the same way. "Guideline." That is to say.
[After all, when is the Timing to replace the Plug?
In light of what has been said so far, it is difficult to make a blanket statement, but I can conclude that
Ideally, it should be changed after 3,000 to 5,000 km.
If there is nothing to worry about, it will be fine for 10,000 km or so.
Replace the plug regardless of the distance when it becomes sticky, the idling becomes unstable, or the starting performance is not good.
I guess you could say that.
When the Plug is replaced,
Smooth acceleration
Better starting performance of the Engine.
Idling stabilizes
...and fuel efficiency.
and other effects. Moreover, they can often be clearly felt.
The Plug plays a very important role in igniting the air mixture to run the Engine. Therefore, even if there is no particular problem, it is recommended to replace it when the car has traveled 10,000 km or so. Also, replacing it earlier will not have any negative effects, even if it is a good thing.
How long do Iridium plugs last?
In general, Iridium plugs are said to have a high life expectancy. However, it is important to note that this is not a generalization. The high longevity is due to Both the center electrode and the outer electrode are of the noble Gold genus Type. 。
Motorcycle plugs are also available in Iridium plugs. "Central electrode only piece Iridium plugs of noble Gold genus." Most of the plugs are made of "Iridium" material. For this reason, it is recommended to replace Iridium plugs for motorcycles at 3,000 to 5,000 km.
However, there are plugs for motorcycles that use a special material for the outer electrodes to improve durability, such as NGK's MotoDXPlug. (Replacement guideline:8,000 to 10,000 km)
unconditionally Iridium plugs = high life expectancy." It is not a question of the material of the center electrode and the outer electrode, but of the material of the center electrode and the outer electrode, respectively.
【Summary】
Plug replacement time
Ideally, it should be changed after 3,000 to 5,000 km.
If there is nothing to worry about, it will be fine for 10,000 km or so.
Replace plugs at any distance when you feel that the plugs have become covered, the idling has become unstable, or the starting performance is not good.
Spark plugs are consumable parts. However, it is difficult to notice the degree of wear and tear. Since a regular plug can be purchased for a few hundred yen per pc, it may be a good idea to replace it as soon as possible before it becomes worn out.

Stable Standard Plug BP5HA
[How is it used?
I thought it was time to replace it in terms of distance, so I ventured to purchase Standard Plug BP5HA this time.
How was your experience with it?
I have a feeling that the fee ring is better than before.
How did it compare to other products?
So far, the same NGK Iridium plugs have been selected.
I have recently been concerned about misfirea from the Exhaust System.
After replacing it with Standard Plug BP5HA, the misfirea was drastically reduced.
[Points to note]
Is Standard Plug BP5HA good for Normal engine?
It is important to clean the area around the plug hole before replacement work.

NGK Standard Plug Installed On TW200
I'm currently using NGK DPR7EA PLUG ON MY TW200 AND It's well over the 6000km stiil going strong never had a problem with that. This DPR8EA PLUG LOOK THE SAME AS DPR7EA.THREAD DIAMETER,LENGHT AND 18MM SOCKET WILL FIT. I also wanted to buy DPR7EA Plugs but no luck because out of the stock and I look through the webike found this NGK DPR8EA plug exactly same.I checked the spark plug gap with my feeler gauge it says 0.80mm.According to the tw200 service manual spark plug gap should be between 0.6mm to 0.7mm.So I use my small hammer to decrease the spark plug gap .tap it until meets the correct gap and it won't take more force.Need to be adjusted bend the ground electrode carefully.Installation is so easy .all you need is 18mm spark plug socket to remove the old plug and thread in the spark plug by hand then tighten the spark plug to specification with an 18mm spark plug socket. The Package received very quickly after dispatch from japan took only 4days to reach my home town.Thank you so much webike for the high quality packaging and service.I highly recommended .webike shop is the only one shop you could get parts for reasonable prices. The only place where you can buy products at a much lower price than other shops.I'm giving 5stars View detail

the standard-bearer of all
It is the OEM specified plug of GB250.
It's a normal Plug, not too bad, but when you ride an old motorcycle, you'll want to have a Plug instead of a good luck charm.
Personally, I think the old-fashioned construction is safer and more practical than Windshield IRIDIUM or along surfaces.

The classic = peace of mind
It is standard or ordinary Plug filled with a sense of security. There is nothing to write about, but I have used dozens of them up to now, but I have never encountered any defective product.
I tried to customize the upper grade and the Plug cord in the past, but I am satisfied enough with this Plug of OEM use always because I did not feel the cost effectiveness so much whether it was insensitive or individual difference. It is always satisfied with the OEM use of the Plug here because I did not feel the individual difference too much. Laugh and buy anywhere and feel secure in the stability of Parts
