Center stand to install on Honda CTX700

Useful for ChainMaintenance

I use J trip's MaintenanceSTAND, but had some concerns about the vehicle going up and down.
If Center Stand, then Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) It is not necessary to check for the "I" and it goes up easily as long as the foot lands on the ground.
With the installation of the OEMCenter Stand, the MaintenanceSTAND has become an exclusive product for the eldest son ^_^;.

About installation
If you want to follow the installation manuals available on our website, you will need to be very strong.
The assembly was done in a different order than in Manual.

It is easier to maintain.

It is really inconvenient for me to have only Side Stand for maintenance and servicing.
I think it would be better if I jacked up the center stand, but I didn't want to damage the parts with jacks by jacking up the center stand.

Motorcycle's Center Stand.
The Center Stand is a stand that can park a motorcycle in a more stable and upright position than the Side Stand. 。 It is useful for parking bicycles for long periods of time and for maintenance.

[What is the Merit of Center Stand? Assembly and installation instructions
(1) Attach the StopperRubber to the main stand.
↓
(2) Apply Grease to the Parts.
↓
(3) Small assembly of Plate, Spring, and Main stand. 。
↓
(5) Insert Plate into Hook and fix it with PivotPipe.
↓
?Install the 6mmFlange bolt.
↓
(7) Install Washer and Split pin.

The upright position gives it a nice old car feel.

[How is it used?
?When I do some tinkering with my motorcycle, it is easier to work and clean with a center stand, and I thought it would be better for my motorcycle to be upright.

Was the one you received as per Image?
It was more solid than ?Image. I think it is indeed OEM.

Was the installation difficult?
?Rubber was hard to screw in, so I applied detergent and put it in a vice.
?I had referred to a YouTube video on how to install the spring, so I shaved about 3mm off the spring and bought a tool to pull the spring beforehand.
?Spring was attached by pulling at the end, but it took a lot of force and was tough. I bought a tension spring hook just for this.

How was your experience with it?
?Of course it's very nice; you pull up the Grab Bar while putting your weight on the protruding part of the STAND, which is quite heavy. But I feel secure because I'm not standing on one leg, but standing firmly.

[Included Parts:were they on?
?I had everything in order. I prepped everything on YouTube to see where and how to use it.

[Was there anything that disappointed you?
?Motorcycle is used but the Center Stand and Engine Guard are new, so it looks almost like a new car at a glance. I am glad it is as I expected.
?No disappointments at all. The only thing is the high price.

■Points of installation and hang
?Spring should be hooked up and installed last. Also, the Spring pulling tool costs 500-600 yen, so you should definitely buy it in advance. It is quite difficult to do because there is an exhaust system nearby.

Availability and clarity of Instruction Manual
?I don't think there was an Instruction Manual to begin with. Everything was taught on YouTube.

?I don't want to knock over the Motorcycle by doing something wrong in the first place, so I always hang a chain block from a beam in the back of the ceiling. (Chain block was bought to move garden stones.)
Again, using the Chain block, Quantity:Pair (for Left and Right) I put a rope through the bolt at the top of the rear shock of the motorcycle and lifted the rear of the motorcycle up to make it easier to work with. Also, at first, I asked my wife to stay on the other side of the motorcycle so that the motorcycle would not fall over. It is good for those who have a variety of tools, but those who work with a minimum of tools need to be careful not to let it fall over.
? There is a Motorcycle shop on YouTube that has installed a Center Stand on a CB400SB, and you should definitely watch that and learn before you do it. Also, he is very skillful and lean.

Items to buy together
?Tension spring hook (like a spring puller)
?In my case, it is an early NC42 CB400SB, so I needed Grinder or sandpaper.

?Motorcycle is a used 2011 model, so I originally planned to buy a cheap used Center Stand and install it, but there are few people who can buy the Center Stand Body at a reasonable price, but I couldn't find the SpringOthers' Included Parts:Quantity. However, I could not find many people who were selling them, and I could not find any other Included Parts:Quantity other than the Body.:I don't know where Set is sold, so in the end, even if I could buy Center StandBody for 3000-4000 yen, I had no choice but to buy it new for me, because I couldn't do anything if I couldn't get decent Included Parts:.

Also, there is no mention of Center Stand in the Parts catalog or anything, so it still seems that Included Parts:is hard to get, and it is hard to understand how to install it, and if Motorcycle shop can install it for about 3,000 yen, from today's experience If a motorcycle shop can install it for about 3,000 yen, I think it is cheap enough. Do-it-yourself installation is Large odd

I bought it with the intention of installing it myself from the beginning.
Installation on the car body was quite easy, although the narrower spring fits rather easily.
The thicker Spring struggled very much.
I saw on UTube that people are doing a lot of creative things, so I thought it would not be a simple task.
After considering how to pull it, I decided to pull it by hand, but it didn't work out so well.
Put a needle Gold and a Recta-Pipe on the end of the needle Gold, put one end of the Pipe on the Tire and pull the other end by hand.
I pushed it in with a slotted screwdriver while it was pulled out with the application of leverage.
It took a lot of effort, I think this next one will be a little easier.
After I got there, I tried to apply the Center Stand, but it just wouldn't lift the car.
It used to be like I could put 750 or 1100 on it rather easily...
On second thought, I forgot that I had the ride height down.
I'm thinking of putting the ride height back up next time.
As for STAND, I think it is a good purchase with a solid construction and a relatively low price. View detail
