[Description]
This product is a shim required when adjusting the tappet of the engine.
These shims are available in thicknesses from 2.15 to 3.10, but the shims that come with your new vehicle are thicker so that they can be adjusted.
Therefore, since the gap is to be adjusted by replacing the shim with a thinner one, BRC has shims in the rnage of 2.15-2.55 which are commonly used.
The shims that were originally installed in the engine are heat-treated and do not wear out, so they can be reused.
To determine the shim size, measure the gap between the tappet shim and the camshaft at the T mark and apply the thickness of the original shim and the valve clearance value. Therefore, a stock service manual is required.
