Gilles Stafler and his staff state their victory ambition with the N°11 Kawasaki again making an impression with the fastest lap in qualifying.

In summer like weather, the three KAWASAKI Ninja ZX-10RR riders rode as one with an amazing lap time 1’36.946 as an average for all three riders while 4th rider, Morgan BERCHET, ran an impressive 1’38.133 affirming his potential to compete at the highest level.

Helped by an incredible bike which never stops evolving, Randy de PUNIET, Mathieu GINES and Jérémy GUARNONI will be the favorites on Saturday 21 April at 3 PM. Even if the task is hardest has, KAWASAKI has sent a new strong signal for the rivals with such dominant qualifying.

Randy de PUNIET: “Yesterday on standard tyres, the feeling on the bike was excellent, my best time shows it. Today, using qualifying tyres, I confirm and improve my time of the day before even if I am frustrated to have not improved my best lap time from last year. Frustrated for two reasons: first because of the lack of adhesion, and secondly, unlike last year and the fact of not having been able to make a “clear lap”. However, I am really pleased on this bike! Even if there are 5 to 6 teams to have victory potential we shall be very successful for the race, for sure”.

Words shared by Gilles STAFLER, serene but philosophical, remembering the last running of the race where despite the qualifying leader position victory escaped SRC:

“The questioning is permanent in our team. That’s what makes us progress and surpass ourselves. The winter test was good for us; we have achieved a very great job with our manufacturer PIRELLI which also contributes to our good results of the moment. PIRELLI slicks tyres have been perfect even when they are used. Besides, we also solved our small engine issues from the beginning of this week. The hardest is coming, to concentrate and aim the only possible position: the first one!”
